Welcome to a course in the cultivation of perennial vegetables (or edible perennials such as they are also known for)! Would not it be wonderful to harvest homegrown leafy vegetables and the occasional root vegetable from when the snow melts in the spring until late fall without so and replant them every year? It is possible if you grow your own perennial vegetables and not only that,, perennial vegetables have many other eminent benefits, such that they are:

  • easy-care & often resistant to pests
  • Good for the Earth and environment
  • Provides a range of exciting new flavors
  • very useful (in most cases!)

Course combines theory with practice and by day's end, you will have all the knowledge you need to establish your own perennial vegetable. During the course, we plant a bed with a variety of more or less known and unknown perennial vegetables such as Lepidium latifolium, crambe maritima, salsify leaves and Blitum Bonus-Henricus. There will also be plants of perennial vegetables for sale that you will also be able to order from Hälsingbo Forest Garden in advance. The course is held at the award winning restaurant Solgårdskrogens lands in Nittsjö, Rattvik.
