Plums and its relatives apricot, peach and almond can be grafted and inoculated in a relatively wide range of rootstocks. Here I list the rootstocks as my knowledge is suitable for our climate. I have a question about grafting or eyelashing of almonds on plums growing on the plot here outside Kristianstad. Here was when I moved here many thorny plum trees with small yellow or red plums, however, it's not something I'm fond of. These trees are hardy and always give plenty of plums sometimes so that branches break. They bloom in the month of March-April and it may be near the flowering of almond trees. Almonds are likely to be grafted onto these old varieties.

you can graft almonds on plums. Probably you have cherry plum on the plot and it is the same rootstock that is often used in grafting almonds. You could try to oscillate in August if you have good seed price until then.

Hello Philip, I want to plant a chrysanthemum hedge with primarily small blue-black plums and would like to buy rootstocks of some chrysanthemum variety to keep prices down. Ideally, I also want rootstocks that do not shoot root shoots. I can get hold of St Julien A cheaply in Germany and it does not take root as far as I understand, apparently gives small green plums, but I lack information about the taste. Have you possibly tried? What about Wavit or Pixy? Do you or anyone else know what their unique fruits look and taste like?
It seems that these varieties do not shoot root shoots either. Would be nice to skip the breeding of at least most of the hedge in this way I think.

Bought a Victoria tree. Stod “weak-growing” on the sign in the nursery, men “Middle-tailed” on the label I see now. See also the designation “Flowers – IC S.J.-A Nypot, can I interpret S.J.-A as S:t Julien A’, or it has nothing to do with this? Now I'm afraid I bought a tree that was too strong and planted approx 2 meters from the residential road!
Hi! It sounds like it's St. The Julien tree is grafted on, it is also the most common rootstock. I would not call it weak-growing right away, but it depends on what you compare with.

Hi! It is possible to graft plums on slopes successfully. We have also tested to graft on Hägg. Many inoculations got nice, but then died after 2-3 years, so any form of uncompatibility seems to exist between hawk and plum (and apricot/peach as we also tested).
