Start year: 2023

Surface: 6000 kvm

Vivallakullen was created in connection with the construction of the Vivalla district and is made up of a mixture of excavated material and high-quality topsoil. The hill is growing again with all kinds of self-sown useful plants, like bird berries (Prunus avium), apple (Malus domestica), Canadian hawthorn (Thistle fanned), pink (Rosa spp.) and oak (OAK). The design is based on docking the planted vegetation into the ongoing processes and taking advantage of them to create a savanna-like landscape with both edible values and recreational values. In total, around a hundred trees and shrubs have been planted on the hill according to the motto "the right plant in the right place". Watering has taken place during one season. Each plant is provided with a tree mirror made of wood chips that is renewed every two years during the establishment period. The grass between the plants is cut 1-2 times per year.
